Has anyone had success selling an app on Flippa?
I just listed my app on Flippa...I have no idea if it's a good place to sell or not. Has anyone on IndieHackers sold their app?
I paid the $9 listing fee and decided to skip the $59 "promote" fee. They also take 15% of the sale price. I have another blog post coming up in a couple weeks so I'll be sure to share my experience selling trying to sell on there.
Wasn't an app, but did sell a money making project a few years back. It was a site selling CMS templates and was making around $500 a month if I remember correctly. Sold it for $5,000 and as far as I can remember, the process was simple, easy and smooth.

flippa is pretty sketchy in my experience, really hard to know when you can trust the seller.

What kind of scams did you see? I see lots of stat stuffing on there when I've browsed it.
Yeah, I've bought mobile apps and then when I log in to their iOS console I realize the metrics were lies :(
Escrow and paypal are good though in that they protect the buyer if the goods are not up to par :)
I've noticed a lot are websites/domains that have a ecommerce drop-ship business ready to go. But there's some fine print that says the site is a copy of another site. I'm not sure exactly what that means. Perhaps the site and inventory is exactly that same but it just has a different domain and logo.
