Has anyone launched their own affiliate program?

I've built and beta tested my own affiliate program for my platform. I will be launching it in a couple weeks and would appreciate any lessons learned and suggestions. This is the program: www.PenAffiliate.com. My platform, Penname, helps writers reach and engage their audience, so the program will be looking for affiliates who are writers.
