Has anyone run a promotion with StackCommerce?
I was recently contacted by StackCommerce about running a promotion through them for JustSketchMe and I'm curious if anyone has experience working with them?
Their pitch seems quite compelling, and if they can in fact pull it off, it would be an amazing win.
They wrote me now, but I am still considering it. Do you have any insights?
It didn't work out very well for me. Their commissions stack, so 45% for StackCommerce + 25% for their partner site (eg: Mashable) + 15% for paid promotion leaves you with very little revenue.
This may work out for you if you're only looking for new users and user feedback instead of revenue (also considering it's generally a lifetime license).
Was it something similar compare to lifetime deals in terms of revenue?
Nah, my lifetime subscriptions go for $199, on StackCommerce it was reduced to $50 for the special. Then after all of their commissions I was making about $8 per lifetime subscription, which wasn't worth it at all 🥲
