I'm building a company that provides modern market intelligence reports for online business owners and we're currently exploring the possibility of marketing to people who buy or sell businesses through startup marketplaces like Flippa, Acquire, and others.
The idea is to serve both sides of the transaction. For sellers, the report would serve as a knowledge asset that could increase valuation. For buyers, they would provide valuable insights to help run the business post-acquisition.
If you've ever sold or bought a business through these marketplaces, I'd love to hear your experience and get your insight.
A few questions that came to mind (but feel free to talk about whatever you want)
What was the process like? Do you think a market intelligence asset would be useful? How was the valuation calculated in flippa? What information was provided to you as a buyer?
Thanks in advance!
