I'm considering the possibility of bootstrapping a full analytical analytical platform with db hosting, etl scrapping or so, data exploration, python connector, dashboard and api, and maybe machine learning.
I know it's ambitious, but I'm actually quite sure I can deliver technically.
Does Anyone has field experience about marketing and sales of a paas ?
Incentaly, would someone be interested in such a platform ? Think Ms Analysis Service + Tableau (client + server), bundled together in a web site for tenth the price ?
I have a large dataset (±60k rows/weekly) that I want to present in a sortable/searchable table. Nothing too fancy. Ideally something that could be embedded in Wordpress. Ideally, have some sort of an import function for csv files
I looked for a no-code solution to do this, but I haven't found anything.
I ended up manually cleaning my CSVs in Excel, then importing them in Sheet, and displaying that with NinjaTables. Take a look voicemarketdata.com
On peut aussi se parler si tu cherches à te joindre à un projet! J'ai un manque d'expertise technique que tu pourrais surement combler!
You are looking at LONG sales cycles, so you need 2 years of funds after the product is ready.
I agree. Or you should target use-cases for companies that act faster.
Also, you should look at how another PaaS is marketed. See iguazio.com
You can build a good business with stable revenue with your idea, especially if you target a specific segment in the beginning (ex: kitchen-only restaurants that deliver Enterprise lunches).
Building a PaaS is going to require a lot of professional services, especially in the beginning as customers need help to achieve their objective with the platform, then extensive technical writing for documentation as you onboard 3rd party developers. (The technical writing stage is where we are at with DjaoDjin.)
I have a lot of experience on building and promoting PaaS for developers. This not an easy direction in general :) Who are going to be your target customers?
