Has anyone successfully bought an online business?

I know there are a few marketplaces out there for buying and selling online businesses like Flippa, but curious if anyone has had direct experience buying one? It definitely seems like a buyer beware situation, but curious if anyone has and how it ended up working out vs starting one from scratch.
