Has anyone tried using Twitter as a marketing channel for their course ?

I recently launched a vim course and am now trying to market it without using any platforms like Udemy.

Twitter seems like a good channel to share vim related tips and am wondering what kind of content is valuable for a twitter channel to complement the course and whether someone has used Twitter here as a marketing channel ?

Give this podcast a listen... https://artofproductpodcast.com/episode-70

It explains the entire story of the Refactoring UI team using Twitter as a major growth driver for their book/course :)

i use twitter, but, i don't count on it for views or clickthroughs or conversions. this is because it's an algorithmically-managed feed.

    and that's not community... https://twitter.com/yenFTW/status/1232472755024605184

and it's not a guaranteed way of communicating to your audience. so, use it, but, don't expect the moon.

I'm just about to launch my own audio course, and I plan to use Twitter as my main marketing channel. I feel like it's easier for discoverability compared to IG or FB. Also, when someone likes a tweet, other people could potentially see it, so there's more chances to network.
