Has cloud complexity slowed you down?

When our team was working on prototypes of new projects and trying to develop and test quickly, we ran into so many slow downs and frustrations around cloud development and deployment. Which cloud should we choose? Which services? How could we move quickly now but not have fundamental issues when it was time to scale?

We wanted to focus on rapid prototyping and delay cloud decisions, but still achieve flexibility, scalability, reliability, security, etc. That led to us building our open source framework, Nitric, which aims to make it super easy for developers to build and deploy cloud apps.

We're working on our next major version and thinking about how to better serve use cases around prototyping and easily testing out different clouds. If you're developing projects, we'd love to hear your feedback.
