The thought just came to my mind. Indie Hackers as a platform is really good to build in public, get feedback, and somehow get the product market-ready.
But has it helped you leed to a good chunk of sales/subscription?
If yes, let us know about the experience.
40% of our waitlist consists of IH users
My go to is to "listen" to what people are saying in here and reaching out to them directly yo see if they want to keep exploring that conversation.
If they really need help growing their sales and finding a repeatable way to do so (our value prop), then we engage in a "live" conversation.
Nothing but incredible feedback so far from this community, but you need to be proactive to make it happen
To get the interaction, you need to interact first. That's usually what I feel when being around a collective/community.
agreed, you also need to make sure you fully understand your own value prop and what your ICPs are trying to achieve and determine whether or not you can bridge that gap.
if you can, you're in the money :)
I'm from a small software dev company, so I believe IH users is not exactly my target audience. However, I've found some great info on seo and promotion :)
A number of leads in that plenty of people actually sign up for Uclusion from IH but so far no long term usage and very few business email signups. Uclusion just launched recently so we are not even attempting paid sales yet - we just wanted real usage other than our own.
Anyway I'm happy to have my son, who is a senior, sign up for http://surferprep.com if it is ready and give feedback. Perhaps you would consider using Uclusion for your development team - we would be happy to explain all about it if you have time to meet (see Calendly link off our landing page).
I'm only taking closed feedback as Prep has not been feature-rich (yet). I'm still experimenting to how to approach it in the future.
I'll give a ping once I make up my mind.
Thank you 😇
Not customers and I don't know about leads. But I've already have got a few collaboration opportunities.
