Have any of you ever launched a product in a field you have zero clue about?
I'm toying with the idea of launching a product that I have no knowledge or understanding of and just wondering if anyone has had experience doing so and what you did and how you found the experience? Would you do it again? or pretty hard?
The most similar experience I've had was freelancing for clients in industries I wasn't familiar with like medical devices, sports agents, etc. When working on those projects, the most important thing was asking a lot of questions to the subject matter expert (SME). That was usually the client. Combining my technical knowledge and their expertise, we launched successful projects.
As an indie hacker, I'd try to get help from a SME. If you know someone who'd be willing to help, that'd be awesome. Asking questions on forums/Reddit may also work depending on the subject.
