Have you considered localizing your saas?

I'm curious to know if you have considered localizing our saas app and translating it to a different language.
I partially localized QApop:

  • We still have the interface only in English
  • But we can provide data about non-English versions of Quora

I have the feeling that everybody can speak English and localization a bit overkill. What do you think?

PS: I'm hunting a tool to help with localization today: Tolgee

  1. 1
    1. Localization
Localization refers to the business model where the company only serves customers locally. A localization strategy involves understanding the market and being focused and attentive towards it. It means paying attention to what's happening in the community, finding out what people want, and then fulfilling their needs.
    2. Customer Service
One way to get started is to ask yourself, “What do I need to do to make my service profitable?” You need to think about the costs involved and find ways to reduce them without reducing customer satisfaction. Remember to keep an open mind – don't just focus on your own ideas and solutions!
    3. Local Market Research
It helps to have data about the target market in order to know where to go. Ask customers questions, talk to competitors, visit stores, research online, etc. There are many methods to gather information on the market – pick two or three and start gathering the data!
    4. Focus
While doing market research, set a goal for each project and stick with it! Don't get distracted by everything else going on around you - stay focused!
    5. Marketing Strategy
After you've done all your market research and identified who you're serving, what they need, how you're delivering it, and making sure you're not losing money along the way, it's time to create a marketing plan. Here are some useful tips for you:
      • Set up goals. Create SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely) goals for your business. Break down these goals into smaller tasks that will lead to success.
      • Find your niche. What products or services are you best at delivering? If you're struggling to figure this out, try to answer the question, “What problem does this product or service solve?”
      • Be creative. Think outside the box. Look beyond established channels and take advantage of innovative opportunities.
      • Make connections. Connecting with others is always good practice. Start networking with local businesses, meet people in person, join Facebook groups, and reach out to bloggers and influencers.
