Teaching would be nice, but the salary cut probably isn’t work it. UI design is cool too, but it’s complementary to programming.
Moved to a PM job. Very different, but learning lots of new things. Much more closer to the process of creating product :)

2 and a half! I still love programming, so I code & test new things on my side projects. And it has a lot of value for my PM job
The switch is not easy, but as a developer I think I had all the keys to do it
I switched to becoming a bootstrapper. At first I thought that it would be the same because as a bootstrapper I still have to code. But now after 5 months of building the WBE Space I realize that it is a different job completely. You focus less about code quality and more in users satisfaction, business and marketing...

Yes. Wise move. Once you're good at both, you'll be very well prepared for future indie hacking.
I don't think that it's ever a bad idea to learn to program. I think that learning to problem solve is a hugely important skill that is transferable to almost all walks of life. And that's pretty much all programming is: a conversation with your computer on how best to solve the current issue.
Having concrete ideas of what you want to build is also a huge advantage as it drives your learning. I've seen a lot of people want to learn to code but after learning the syntax, they just stop completely because, well, they don't know what to do next.
As an aside, I worked with a guy who was a marketer before learning to program and he said that it was the best decision that he ever made.

I recently asked myself the same question. But more in the sense that I would like to add something more to my definition as a professional since I like to program. But I would also like to try other things professionally. Probably due to my mid-life crisis :D
Forestry. I wouldn't switch anytime soon, but I will someday.
