Have you ever had an executive/professional assistant? What tips do you have?
This week I'm starting to work with an executive assistant (part time, ~20 hours a week), and I'm pretty excited.
I'm new to having an assistant, so I was wondering if anybody here has examples of the kinds of things an exec assistant did/does for you that might be less obvious, or your favorite tips/suggestions for working with an assistant and getting the most out of it.
Never had one, but definitely thought about it. I'd have them responding to my Twitter messages, handling my emails, working with them to set up messages to folks I want to get in touch with.
Also, how did you find your executive assistant? Are they based in America or are they offshore? I'd definitely be interested in hiring one, if they were reliable and also affordable.
