Since so many years outsourcing development work is made in India and others Asian countries for several reasons, but have you ever tried to work with developers in Africa and what was your experience ?
Hi, remote working has almost eased out the difficulties which we face related to locations and stuff. Now, outsourcing companies also hire dedicated developers for working on their projects.
I've had a fantastic experience working with developers, designers, and customer service representatives from several different countries in Africa. The timezones are similar to Europe, so if you're based in the US you'll do a lot of communicating during the morning hours.
One of the biggest hurdles is getting a reliable and simple way to pay your contractors. Western Union is an option, but it's a bit expensive and very much a hassle, but services like OysterHR can help make the process easier. I have a small team that is based in Nigeria and I've worked with folks from South Africa as well with similarly stellar results.
Oh that's really nice. Thanks for the HR system you named. We use WorldRemit currently
