Have you had success with cold social DMs? If so, what's your process/template?

Hey everyone, I'm currently growing a newsletter. I'm curious if any indiehackers have had solid success with cold DMs.

Bonus points if it was for a newsletter :)

Some questions (don't need to be answered but here for inspo)...

• Did you do outreach manually or was it automated with a tool?
• Do you have a ballpark for response rate and/or conversion rate to signups?
• Were cold DMs more successful than cold email (if applicable)?
