Yea great book. My main take away is you need to protect your schedule during the day so you have hours of uninterrupted time for "deep" work a.k.a. flow state. If you're constantly bouncing between tasks it's impossible to produce your best work.

To achieve this protected schedule do things like batch your email & Slack checking/replies to certain parts of the day (maybe morning and evening). If you have scheduled calls make sure they are grouped together in a time block so you still have hours of uninterrupted time to deeply work on whatever it is you need to get done.
