Having a Facebook Group for Newsletter Members

Hi!
I am thinking about creating a Facebook group for my newsletter. Initially, I thought it could be only for insiders if they refer the newsletter for 3 other people. Reading posts here, it seems that Facebook groups could actually be a way to get more newsletter subscribers.
Do you have an insiders group for newsletter? If so, how do you manage it?
