Having boundaries as an open-source developer

If you're going to be an open-source developer, you're probably going to need good boundaries. Here are some good examples (along with some reasons why it's necessary).

    What I appreciate most about this post is that Joel makes it very clear that being pushy/demanding will in fact probably inspire him to retreat/not respond rather than prompting him to move more quickly, etc. I love open-source and I really value the community aspect. Posts like this help the community to become even more refined. Thanks!

    I chuckled a little at this boundary around when to direct message him:
    "You want to say thanks or donate (and not just so you can ask me about something afterwards)."

    He really hit so many nails right on the head! Useful stuff to keep in mind to avoid being that open source user
