Over the last few algorithmic updates, Google favored Medium, alongside Reddit, Quora, and a handful of other established companies involved in content production.
A 300% rise in traffic over the past year.
The same applies to the other sites I mentioned earlier, like Reddit or Quora.
But there’s a core difference.
Medium is a blogging platform.
You create an account, write content, and do that for the sole purpose of promoting your brand.
What’s more?
You could target organic keywords?
and refer them to your eCommerce site.
@genevavalleqsql does this with two accounts. He runs an eCommerce brand, creates a Medium account, pumps it with AI-generated content, and refers a “where to buy” link to his eCommerce brands.
He does 25k in traffic monthly on this one account…
And 4k in traffic on this other account…
Now, something to keep in mind is his keyword research strategy.
You don't want to write what you feel but what the trend demands.
For this geneva, it meant publishing question based articles.
"Why are Nike Dunks so popular?"
"Why is Air Jordans so expensive?"
"What are the black and white nikes everyone is wearing?"
He ranks for this and at the end of the day, he refers this traffic to his E-commerce brand
However, this is not just limited to eCommerce brands.
You may also want to genuinely write good articles, targeting organic keywords, to gain traction on Medium and maybe get paid through their ecosystem.
https://livingjamesjohnson.medium.com/ does that smoothly.
These are just random SEO ideas I share every Sunday on Dreamerbro.
Love it? Let me hear your thoughts
Medium is excellent for SEO and thus conversion. Great top read how others maneuver it :)
