2+ months in since starting my buildinpublic journey with Funmetric and it has been a rollercoaster in terms of networking, execution, and expectations.
It's nearly cost me consistent health and happiness trying to do it all in a short period of time. I wanted to post a few lessons learned since May/June 2021.
We've been given a lot of "advice" about iterate and shipping quickly, but at what cost is this worth it if our health is jeopardized? I personally had a health scare in May that put my overworking tendencies in perspective not only just for me, but my family as well.
You will either fail or succeed with your idea that you can't control. You can control how much you exert yourself to accomplish your goals. Be mindful of this and don't feel pressured to "ship quick".
I was struggling with this aspect of my product a lot for marketing. Yes, a good majority of us are not marketers. What helped me get over this issue was networking and communicating my product "pitch" in different ways to understand what resonated the most with others and stayed true to Funmetric goals.
When it came to creating specific headlines for upcoming ads and marketing initiatives I used products like:

https://www.peppertype.ai/
As for my progress with my product that's for another post in the future. I wanted to get these lessons learned off my chest.
