👋 Hello IH — Introducing myself. (Better late than never!)

Hello Indie Hackers! I signed up a few months back but never introduced myself.

My name is Dave, and I started Holstee with my brother Mike over a decade ago (can’t believe its been that long!).

At Holstee we are best known for our Manifesto (https://www.holstee.com/manifesto), our monthly Membership, and we recently created the Reflection Cards (https://www.holstee.com/cards) — a deck of cards to spark meaningful conversations and deepen relationships.

Ten years later, I feel lucky to still be able to work on what I love, with people I care about, every day, it has definitely come with its challenges and tradeoffs.

We started primarily as a product and design company, physically based in NYC.

A few years back we launched a monthly print subscription with monthly guides and art based on mindful themes. More recently we launched a digital version of the membership. (https://www.holstee.com/membership)

We are now fully distributed (Amsterdam, California, Barcelona, Colorado, New Hampshire) and with the growth of your digital membership, we are leaning more towards digital with our product development.

I joined Indie Hackers, as we we are working on a new app (very aligned with and inspired by our work at Holstee) to help guide people through a meaningful reflection and self-discovery process. It's a bit daunting as it’s our first time building a consumer facing app, but I have already learned a lot from the great conversations and past learning’s of other Indie Hackers!

I am excited to share the journey of our new reflection app with the community here and learn from each of you.
