Hey IH — I'm Yashasvi.
Quick background: 10+ years as a software engineer, 5+ of those at Google. While still at Google I got into fitness, got certified as a coach, and got myself to 10% body fat. Started coaching people, eventually quit in 2025 to do it full-time.
After leaving, I went deep into the AI space - following everything and what's actually working vs what's hype. And the more I coached, the more I kept seeing places where that technology could solve real problems in that space. Not the "AI replaces your coach" nonsense, but actual intelligence layered into the coaching workflow.
Because the hard part of online coaching isn't the coaching. It's the admin. Every week, 20+ clients send check-ins - photos, measurements, food logs, how they're feeling. Reviewing each one takes 15-20 minutes. That's 5-6 hours of staring at data before you even start doing the thing you're actually good at.
The tools that exist in this space are basically fancy spreadsheets. They store everything but can't tell you anything about it.
So I started building it. An assistant that actually looks at the data and tells you what matters - who needs attention, what's trending, what you're about to miss.
Where I'm at:
- Live product, I use it daily with my own clients
- Invite-only beta with a handful of coaches
- Solo founder, bootstrapped, no funding
What I'm looking for:
Mostly just connecting with other builders. Happy to talk about the fitness coaching niche, building with AI, or the "leaving big tech" thing if anyone's thinking about it.
Clear niche! Solving admin fatigue for coaches is practical and believable.
Since you’re processing check-ins with photos, body measurements, food logs, and mood data, privacy will be central.
A few things coaches and clients will care about:
• If you use third-party LLM or vision APIs to analyze check-ins, are images or health data retained or used for model training?
• Do clients have visibility into how their data is analyzed and the ability to export or delete it?
Progress photos and body metrics are sensitive. A leak would be reputationally damaging for both coach and client.
We’re the Nautillo Pro security team, so we naturally look at data isolation and AI data flow risks. We built Nautillo Pro for founders who care about web app security and want to simulate real attacker paths before scaling. There’s a free version available, with DNS ownership validation required so only legitimate owners can test their own systems.
Strong problem selection. If you make privacy and data boundaries explicit, that will become a competitive advantage in this space.
