So... here we are, launching this side project of mine on IndieHackers :)
I'm Ismael, a passionated SWE with a bunch of years working in the IT industry in software at scale, but unable to finish any side project I start. Experimenting is nice and dropping your own stuff feels ok when you just want to take learnings and experience. Or, in other words, when the focus shifts to something else.
But not this time! I finally set a personal goal to come from the start to a viable product, and after some months, scope changes and some testing, I'm now finding myself in a moment that the product needs to be exposed to the world.
This is crucial because any feedback I'll get will help shaping the future of this product. I think it's an interesting one to have as a side platform for investments, and especially for bringing some trust the crypto market does not have unfortunately.
It won't make anyone rich for sure, but given current times we are living, it's always interesting to have ways to cope with inflation.
I would absolutely love your feedback. Roast my landing page, test the tool, or just drop a comment if you've also struggled with finishing your side projects.
Thanks for reading!
The "get rich quick" noise in the crypto space makes it incredibly difficult for conservative investors to find tools that actually prioritize capital preservation over high-risk speculation. Shifting the focus from automated bots to periodic advice allows users to maintain control while ignoring the daily market volatility that usually leads to emotional trading errors. Since the core value here is trust and steady growth, are you finding that your early testers are more interested in the technical indicators behind the advice or just the high-level portfolio rebalancing signals?
Hi Muhammad, and thanks for taking your time to look at this! Well, to be honest, it's getting really difficult to find early adopters :-). There are many factors here:
Trading + crypto sounds like a scam. Catching eyes is really difficult, as these buzzwords are actually a handicap, imho.
Advertising is challenging if you're unknown on social media, as is my case. I'm starting to participate a bit more in crypto subreddits, but getting traction seems to be something achievable in the long run, not shortly.
And now, going straight to your point: They are testing the high-level portfolio. I believe that, given it does not involve real money, it's safe to play around with. This is also what I expected, to be honest, as I was looking to focus on inexperienced traders rather than people familiar with such indicators.
Best,
Ismael.
It’s a solid move to focus on inexperienced traders—trust is the hardest currency to earn in crypto, and simplicity is usually the best way to build it.
Regarding the "handicap" of being unknown on social media: I’ve seen this many times. In niches like trading where the "scam" tag is common, standard ads or Reddit posts often get ignored. You might find more traction by shifting from "marketing" to "authority."
I actually work in Digital PR and media placement, helping brands get featured on high-authority platforms like MSN, AP News, or Bloomberg. When people see a project mentioned on a reputable news site, that "scam" skepticism starts to fade away instantly. It gives you a "verified" status that social media ads just can't provide.
Since you’re struggling with early adopters, have you thought about leveraging third-party media validation to bridge that trust gap? It could be the missing link for your "Invest and Forget" philosophy.
