Help: A hunter posted our extension on Product Hunt
We're unsure if we should "own it" or ask them to remove them so we can make a "proper" launch. Thoughts?

If it has got enough traction then keep it. Posting on PH is like playing whack-a-mole despite many people suggesting hackable it is.
We did and are extremely happy with our decision! 180 emails gathered, 42 one on one Zoom onboardings scheduled.

Sweet, milk it as much as you can for the next 24 hours.
Its the only thing I hate about ProductHunt. There are some hunters who got no better work than posting all random products without even trying them.
If your product is not ready and its posted on producthunt that may impact the users first opinion on your product. Not only that, the opportunity to properly post it with all required details is also missed.
If you already on got enough upvotes and visitors I suggest don't remove it, but if it is not on the top list.. you can request them to remove.. sometimes they repost it.
That happens far too often. Keep us posted about updates and how you the situation eventually turned out for your venture!
It got hunted becoz users like your product. Just let it flow and leave a comment on the page
