So for my upcoming book I need to draw a few simple diagrams/explanions. Can you recommend me something? Should be online or for Linux. What did you use before and liked?

If I understood it correctly this is a bit different to create diagram -> export, right? It's more like connect what you have and present it?
Yes. No shapes, just text, images and connections.
With an option to export it into a single *.html file.
So unfortunately not what I am looking for since I have nothing to connect...
