Help hackers save money!

I built hackerpromos.com in <24hrs with #nocode using pory.io!

TL;DR I want to help hackers (especially college students) save money on products/services so they can build more stuff :)

Long background story: I was spending $50/month on MongoDB Atlas for a side project (mydesktour.com). A MongoDB product manager reached out to me for feedback, and I asked if they could be more generous with their free tier. Turns out they have $200 credits through Github students! I signed up with my 5 rice.edu emails, and got $1000 in free credits!!

Thanks, @jonathancai ! Any way to get Discount for pory OR Webflow Monthly subscription?

Can't help with either of these, but @shooting_unicorns might be able to for Pory! Doesn't hurt to ask :)

I'd recommend to add a 'marketing' category if you have things like Facebook/AdWords/other coupons :) Would def subscribe if there was such an option: To get notified for new companies providing deals.

I originally had a newsletter running, but I shut that down because:

      1. I personally only look for deals when I have a specific need in mind and
      2. I think I'm like most people...
      3. I think Twitter following might be less spammy vs newsletter

Maybe I should add it back to validate?

Not sure, really. All I know is I would rather have an email list of 1000 people vs 10k Twitter followers.

          I'm the same.

I just meant for users, I think most would feel that a Twitter feed is better or less invasive than their inbox for something like a "free deals" feed.
