Help! How do I transform an Excel doc into a online dash? ($$$ available)

Hey fellow IH's ;)

I'm trying to create a customer-facing dashboard that will track pricing of pharmaceutical products.

LP: https://www.pharprice.co.uk/

I will be scraping the data from suppliers websites into an excel document daily, using parsehub and then cleaning the data. The below link is the master sheet I have started making to get everything together

As you can see here: https://netorgft13339248-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal/hello_phar-sight_com/EYI4oxEFlidNmh8AN3DVXPMBkbC2umFyVlz47SmqCg4PGQ?e=SuH4CS

I need the dash to show, AVG price, when prices have increased or decreased %, and trends (including graphs and supplier comparisons).

I work in this industry and there is huge potential here. I'm looking for either a partner, a developer to hire, or just a friend to point me in the right direction

Can anyone help, please?

Based on your initial question posted in the title, you could work with a Google Sheet and redirect your domain to the public view only link of that document. This I think would be the easiest low effort approach to achieve your objective. If this "frontend" is good enough for your purpose for now you will probably be able to automate data ingestion. For instance you can run Github Actions like a cronjob which executes arbitrary code to maintain your sheets. As soon as you need a more sophisticated frontend the whole software architecture changes and things maybe start to cost money and time and effort to get more right for further challenges. Happy to brainstorm about this if you like.

    Hi Louis,

I am excited to hear about your project and would be thrilled to help you achieve your goal. As an experienced developer, I have had the opportunity to work on similar projects involving the creation of data tracking and analysis dashboards.

One suggestion I have is to streamline the data collection process by automating the data scraping and storage using a database. Instead of manually scraping and cleaning the data, we can use a web scraping to automatically extract and save data from the suppliers' websites directly into a database.

This would enable us to easily access the data and visualize it using a variety of chart types, including graphs that show when prices have increased or decreased % and trends over time. I would love to collaborate with you on this project and help bring it to fruition.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

FYI here is the figma MVP draft: https://www.figma.com/file/8Vxk7rkovC22GbNISN5hE4/PHARPRICE?node-id=0%3A1&t=htcWJZaw50vyU7AD-1

Homescreen: displaying the top moving products of that day/week/month

All products: displaying the entire generic drug list and some info about each

Analysis screen: displaying info about that specific pricing, including; current price, 30 day moving average projection, all suppliers prices, and more etc

      Hey Harisbilal,

Thank you so much for your in-depth reply!

Sounds great!! I am already scraping data using Parsehub and when I upgrade the plan I can schedule daily scrapes :)

I have started using Tableau - is this an acceptable database?

My WhatsApp number is 07 944429507 - we can talk further on there and go into details!

      Thank you

      Lou

you need this data in a database, not an excel document. create a specific list of what you want on the dashboard (figma or just draw it on paper and take a picture) and send it over, I will try to help you assuming you keep it simple (contacts in my profile)
