Help Me Build The Ideal Indie Hacker Dashboard

Fellow Indie Hacker,

TLDR

I run a SaaS that allows users to build dashboards that combine different datasources.

I want to know what are the metrics 📊 Indie Hackers care the most about to include them in an IH dashboard template.

Dashboards are fun (or so I would like to believe).

Dashboards are about showing key information. The best example is the car's dashboard. You are driving 🚔 , it shows how fast you're going. You're out of gas, there is a light (god knows what happens when an electric car is out of juice. 😬). Only key information.

Dashboards for your business are the same, with a glimpse you can tell what is going on.

Alas, there are many sources of data (Google Analytics, Google & Facebook Ads, Search Console, Stripe ...), it can get easily overwhelming to check them all.

I am trying to find the metrics IHs care the most about (besides MRR 🤑). New Users? Session Duration? Churn? CTR? Conversions? Search Console Position?

The goal 🥅 ? To have only one place to check out in the morning.

To give you an idea, here is an example dashboard : Audience Overview Dashboard.

So what are the top metrics you care about? What are the numbers your fellow Indie Hackers should check in the morning?

"I love the smell of a good dashboard in the morning". No, seriously, almost 50% of the side-projects I started (and abandoned halfway) are related to dashboarding. I am even trying my own attempt at building a product around dashboards right now!

For me, currently, the numbers around visibility and community are most important. So Twitter followers, tweets, retweets, github stars, etc are key for me.

Disclaimer: I don't have something "out there" yet, so I might not be your target audience.
