Hi โ I'm building out a product that provides fast mindfulness exercises: https://www.getserenity.app/
The mindfulness products in the market are great, but aren't conducive to re-centering during a busy day. I wanted to build a service for faster, more accessible mindfulness exercises, without requiring 10-15 minutes of time and a quiet place to meditate. I also wanted to provide analytics/insights so that I could better identify stressors and manage them over time.
I'm an active user of the web app MVP as I built it for myself (a "1 customer SaaS product!"), and I want to expand its reach. Any thoughts and feedback on the landing page (and product) are welcome!
In particular:
Thanks in advance!
Nice start. For a mindfulness services landing page, clarity and trust are usually the biggest conversion drivers.
My first suggestions would be:
Mindfulness is a trust-based purchase, so the more personal and authentic the page feels, the better it will likely perform. Looking forward to seeing the updates!
I think you have a big opportunity to make your landing page interactive. Showing your product will get its point across a lot faster than words. It takes some considerable amount convincing to get someone to click the "Try it" button because they don't know what's behind it (what if I had do signup first?). However I noticed that once I started the flow of your web-app it was very easy to keep going.
What if right below your hero you embed your web-app (or a modified version of it ) and let the visitor go through the flow right there and then? At the end of it you could capture their email to remind them to do another session the next day. "Feeling a bit better? Enter your email to get a session reminder at the same time tomorrow" or something like that.
Also unrelated to your landing page, it might be helpful to include some graphical elements with the buttons in the web app, for example emoji for the feelings or colors from red to green.
I concur - you do an amazing job with the interactive flow after clicking "Try it" but clicking a button is a lot to ask for sadly. Or still use the "Try it" button but follow some of Olly's tips and showcase that you understand the problem and are qualified to present a solution on the landing page.
Awesome โ thanks a lot for the feedback @felixg and @habibkhan, I really appreciate it! I'll think about some ways to showcase the product better, it's so simplistic that whenever I've tried to include screenshots it's felt very bland. The interactive flow is pretty simple so embedding it on the front page is pretty much just (which is perhaps a route that I should consider :-) ).
Thanks again!
Interesting idea! Adding some background music could make it more relaxing.
Thanks!
I like it! And might try it out myself since and share it with others. I often run into the problem of not having a good place to quietly meditate during the day. A couple thoughts:
You might put a few more words up top to drive home the point that this doesn't require you to find a quiet place to sit and relax. Maybe, "Fast, simple, calming exercises you can do from your office chair" or something like that.
I also didn't immediately realize that there was more info at the bottom, a down arrow or something might be useful.
I'm hesitant myself of using statistics for something like meditation. I'd make sure that is an optional feature, or at least something that doesn't automatically pop up at the end of the exercise. Some encouraging words might b a better way to conclude other than launching into statistics.
Awesome! And thanks, this is all really helpful feedback, much appreciated.
The idea behind the insights is to surface patterns that I've already noticed about myself, so that I can manage around them. For example, my partner has often mentioned that I get more stressed at certain times of day, and I've noticed that breathing exercises work best for me at the end of a busy workday. Ultimately my ambition would be to integrate with something like an Apple Watch to actually gather physical insights (that was my original idea), but that's way off in the future.
Fwiw, the way I use the app myself as a several-times-weekly user is that if I feel myself getting flustered or just want to relax, I'll open the app up and spend a few min on one of the exercises on my phone or computer. Hope that you like it, and if you have any other ideas or feedback please hit me up! info@getserenity.app
I used to go for a meditation session once a week for about 2 years in a rather old fashioned one. My sister also bought a Muze (meditation tracking device), but she's done meditation probably twice or three times. (just to see possibly 2 different target segments within meditation-like people)
Hope it helps!
I'd appreciate if you can fill my 3min user discovery survey:)

Really helpful โย thanks a lot! I'll check out your survey as well.
I agree with @Felixg. I didn't feel too compelled to click "Try it" and I think his suggestions would help.
Some thoughts based on my personal experience...In the past, I wasn't actively interested in wellness. I think part of that was I didn't really understand what it meant and what categories it actually covered. What does it mean to be well? Have wellness? I'm a generally healthy person and strongly believe in the importance of keeping a healthy mind and body. So the base was there. But there wasn't a strong connection to the world of wellness. Then I discovered the Global Wellness Institute. They were able to define wellness in such an understandable and relatable way that it brought the concept much closer to me.
Mindfulness is the same for me. What exactly is mindfulness? At least for me, if you were able to provide definitions and examples like the Global Wellness Institute did, and give me a clear, solid understanding of what mindfulness can do for me, I would be much more likely to connect to your product.
That's really helpful, thanks @ManuelMaccou. I use meditation apps / am somewhat familiar with the space and I can definitely see how the landing page experience is missing some context. Easy to miss that stuff when you're building things out and steeped in the problem space. Thanks!
It looks great, awesome your call to action is a clear demo.
Some ideas:
main page - include some more content, with your app screens?
App - sound? video?
Thanks!
The landing page is simple and neat. I like the design, but I think you need to add more information. You can start by answering the following questions - what does mindfulness mean, how mindfulness can help us, why we should try it and how your app helps me become more mindful.
I think you should also try to highlight how your product is different (and better) when compared to other products in this space.
Best of luck with the app!
Very helpful and that resonates with other feedback on this thread. Thanks!
it's ok, but think about illustrations. They will improve UI
Thanks!
@serenityapp
Hi, thanks for sharing. I'm confused why in this post you discuss what makes your service unique in this post, but don't include that on the landing page.
I would consider the option to start a 'default' exercise and then afterwards add an option to customise, take a share it. That way it's even quicker to get to the value.
I made a flowchart that helps you identify your opportunities to increase landing page conversion which I hope is helpful too https://www.roastmylandingpage.com/landing-page-conversion
Thanks @olly, appreciate it! Will check out your link as well.
