Help me name my app
As evidenced by many threads on this page, coming up with a name for your product/app is hard. I've read naming guides and did ask family and friends. But I still have no clue what to name my app. Can you help me?
I'm currently developing a web app which lets you create maps of long distance hiking trails, with the abillity to mark your position on it. You can embed the map on your blog, or share a link with an option for followers to get updates on your progress.
All the obvious names like trailmap, trailtracker, etc are already taken.
I thought about trail2home and trailocate.
Every input is highly appreciated!

HikeMaps might be good. It might be useful for SEO when people are searching for "hiking maps"

I like to use leandomainsearch.com for naming my apps. You can enter a keyword such as "hike" and view which domains are available that contain that word. You can sort by domains starting with, and ending with your keyword, and sort by length, popularity, etc

In your case, it took me the first read to come up with the first suggestion. Create maps of long-distance hiking trails with the ability to mark your position? Let's make it shorter and take the keywords from it: "maps / long-distance / hiking trails / position". So, something about maps and position. Mapstance.

I think what's adding to the difficulty is, when you aren't a native speaker. The feeling for the language, and playing with words isn't easy.

OK. Don't know much about netlify, so can't help there. But I would put the name in the page header. See how that looks here. I would have preferred Hikemarks though. This is the font I used.
