Help? My landing page is getting 0 subscribers.

My landing page for the Challenge I launched last week seems to not be working and I have no clue why. (screenshot attached)

I've tested it multiple times, so the form is working. (see screenshot)

The ad is performing pretty decently (as far as I can tell), but NO ONE is signing up.

Could anyone give me some feedback as to why this could be happening?

    Hey Danica,

Some thoughts on this one. It's tricky.

I can't really figure out what you're offering on the landing page.

You talk about sales flat-lining. You talk about not relating to your audience. You talk about being confident in what you have to offer.

It takes a lot of work to piece together what you're selling.

Finding the WHY behind what you're doing is a tricky proposition too. Why do you want to help people find their "why"? Who is the customer here? Is it people who aren't sure why they're doing what they do? Is it people who aren't confident in their sales ability?

There's a mixture of crisis of self and brand. As such, it's hard to figure out who you're talking to.

I would take a step back and figure out one person to talk to. Who are they? What is keeping them up at night? What are their goals? How do they talk about both?

Is their problem really that they don't have the confidence to grow? There are people who are afraid of success, so there may be an audience there.

Either way, I wouldn't open with questioning a character trait. I would rephrase that. Go with a question that intrigues them, instead of embarrassing them, e.g.

"What's holding you back from success?"

    OR

"Are you holding yourself back from succeeding?"

Those ask the same question without belittling. They also reiterate the question the person may already be asking themselves, thereby letting them know that you understand them.

From there, you can talk about the importance of having a brand mission; something that compels them to move forward. If they don't know what the mission is, you can help. Write your copy from that perspective.

I think your description of what they get for signing up feels like you ran into copy fatigue. It feels like you heavy sighed and just decided to "hit publish". Flesh that out a bit more and make it sound exciting.

      Thanks for the feedback!

I didn't think it at the time, but you're completely right about the chaotic/slightly condescending tone of the offer...funny how something can make total sense to you until you've had someone else critique it.

This is a prime example of something I would never sign up for. No information about what this is and about you as well. Who are you to tell me about personal growth? Is it even personal growth or different kind of (business) growth? How do I even know if I have confidence to grow? It looks very bullshitting to me e.g. from the category of "I will sell you ebook on how to make money making ebooks...". Sorry if I am too harsh!

    1. 1

Harsh, yes. But still useful so thank you!

So the goal of the challenge is to figure out your unique strengths and how they serve your ideal client, so that you can be confident about what you have to offer.

I admit the copy might not be the best. And yes the headline probably sucks, lol.

So here's what I have on the page to describe the challenge.

"The Grow with Confidence Challenge is a free 5 day email course designed to help you identify your strengths, find your unique value, and finally understand the WHY behind it all.

To do this, you need to unlock your brand purpose.

      Wait, what’s that?

Your brand purpose is your purpose. Your WHY. It’s what drives you to success.

In the Grow with Confidence Challenge, we’ll go through the steps to unlocking your brand purpose. It’ll look like this:

Day 1: What is Brand Purpose? — We’ll walk through the basics of what it means to understand your purpose.

Day 2: Know Yourself — Here, I’ll lead you through some exercises to help unlock your unique value and figure out what drives you.

Day 3: Understand Your Business — You’ll learn the difference between goals and purpose, and what you stand for on a higher level.

Day 4: Focus on Your Audience — I’ll show you how to find that sweet spot between your passion and what the world needs.

Day 5: Tie it all Together — On the last day, you’ll dig deep to understand your WHY. This is the core of your brand purpose, and is what will drive you to success."

Maybe it's too far down the page to be useful? idk.

It would be useful to see the actual url.

    My first reaction:

    • is 20 views enough of a sample size?
    • to me, it doesn't tell me enough to sign up - struggling to find the confidence in what? to grow into what? what is the actual contents of the course? I'd personally want to know those things.

      URL: https://dnca.ca/gwc-signup

The contents are described further down; I was never sure where on the page to put those as I didn't want to overload with too much info. But maybe in an effort to do that i was still to vague?

Everything they said ^, and how does the photo relate?

      1. 1

I'm not sure if it does, if I'm being honest, other than being vaguely course-like. Another thing I struggled with was figuring out what type of photo to use

    Hello,

    here's my initial reaction:

    1. You need to target your offering more. Which kind of business / professional do you want to help?
    2. More social proof! How can they be confident that your coaching delivers??
    3. Info about you — to help people with their problems, you need to have walked the path yourself. Have you?
    4. Make it more personal — include a pic of yourself.

    Peace, V.

    Hi Danica,

So is this a coaching service?

I think you need to be more specific in your copy. Some examples:

You headline... 'Do you have the confidence to grow?' -- Who are 'you' and what does 'grow' mean?

'results just don’t seem to match what you’re putting out there.' -- I'm not sure what this means... I'm actually not really clear what you are selling so far. Again, it's not specific.

'doing everything wrong' -- everything and wrong are both vague.

    Regarding your ads -->

    Your click through rate is ~ 1% --> 20 / 1931 --> 0.0103573278.
That's actually a bit low in my experience. I'm guessing that your ad copy might not be that clear too.

What kinds of ads are you running, what is your copy + what keywords or audiences are you targeting?

    1. 1

I do offer a coaching service, but this here is a challenge meant to function as a lead magnet (which obviously flopped lol).

The consensus seems to be that I'm vague and all over the place. Evidently, I need to take a biiiig step back and look at this with some fresh eyes.

I was running ads targetted towards health/nutrition coaches, dieticians, etc. and had a target size of about 5 mil, which I hear is the optimal size. The best day got around 40 clicks. So not a super successful ad but not terrible either..and you're probably right about the copy not being clear enough. Time to go back to the drawing board.

      1. 2

Yeah, keep going. You'll get it!

Don't know if you saw @TheTechTeacher 's ad results but it was pretty impressive. He got 76 signups and 1 customer on day 1 from Facebook ads. He only spent ~10USD (I think) so that's great results. I've gotta figure out how to do that well myself. I suspect he was pretty focused with his targeting + the market he's in is pretty large.

I think that's what it can look like when it works.

I'm in the midst of running a landing page test and I'm seeing about 4.8% CTR and 10% conversion (signup for my pre-release list). Here's the landing page for reference -->

Thanks for the mention! I've got some really good tips and advice if anyone needs it. I'm happy to share on Twitter.

          For my product https://trackmylift.app

My first ad I've now spent £8.37 or £8.47

          I have;
          141 signups / 4 paying customers

    1. 1

Thanks, can't believe I forgot to add that!

  6. 1

I also think that 20 views may not be big enough of a sample size.
Could we have a link? I couldn't find this challenge on your blog.
