I'm planning to host my newsletter on Gumroad. I develop a landing page, with a button: "Join Now", leading to the Gumroad's page. People will then insert their email into it.
However, the flow seems too complex to me. Any recommendation to make the flow better? People are so used to having the form on the landing page itself to just click submit.
Thanks,
I have been doing the same thing for Micro SaaS Ideas . Not the perfect way but it just works.
There are a few ways to simplify the flow and improve the user experience:
Embed the Gumroad form directly on your landing page: Instead of redirecting users to Gumroad's page, you can embed the form on your landing page itself. This will allow users to enter their email address without leaving your website, which can help to reduce drop-offs.
Use a pop-up form: Another way to capture email addresses without redirecting users is to use a pop-up form. You can trigger the pop-up when users click the "Join Now" button, which will display the form without navigating away from the landing page.
Use a form builder tool: If you don't want to use Gumroad's form, you can use a form builder tool like Typeform or Google Forms to create a custom form. You can then embed the form on your landing page or use a pop-up form to capture email addresses.
Offer an incentive: To encourage users to sign up for your newsletter, you can offer a free resource, such as an e-book, checklist, or webinar. This can help to increase the perceived value of your newsletter and motivate users to provide their email address.
By implementing one or more of these strategies, you can simplify the user flow and improve the likelihood that users will sign up for your newsletter.
