Help Ukrainians (Update from ramen.Labs)

Hi everyone,

We, ramen.Labs, continued to search for key burning needs of Ukrainian people and solutions that help.
We have an update since our previous post (https://www.indiehackers.com/post/ukraine-crisis-we-open-our-small-platform-for-ukrainians-to-use-5cdd958061): We identified the first, very pressing, problem space: Help Ukrainian refugees who now need to be integrated into the new environment. See Idea Outline below and let us know if you want to contribute.

Volunteering marketplace for Ukrainian refugees - Idea outline

Problem
The sudden influx of a large number of Ukrainian refugees to Poland, Hungary, Germany etc.
Usually in Germany, local organizations like integration centers and not-for-profit organizations attract volunteers to provide help to refugees. Help includes translation services, legal, recreation activities, education, job support, etc.
The process of matching refugees and services is fragmented and manual. Ach local site does their own. They use physical sites, eMail, and phones.

Solution (MVP)
We want to build a marketplace that matches local organizations and volunteers for Ukrainian refugees.
Organizations can select which services they need volunteering support for. They can choose between Remote and On-Site support.
Volunteers can choose organizations in proximity (or remote) based on a map and apply to these services. Users can chat via this platform and agree on terms.
Vice versa, organizations can search the volunteer database based on skills and services they provide.

Target users

  • Local refugee and integration organizations
  • People who want to volunteer

Value proposition

  • Refugees: assist the refugees to integrate in the new environment
  • Volunteers: Make an impact and get their skills to use for good
  • Organizations: Streamline process and better manage their scarce resources

MVP scope

  • The described solution above, launched for Poland/Hungary, Germany
  • Marketing strategy
  • Reach out to organizations, offering them to register on the platform
  • Social media marketing, content, SEO

Actions:

To bring the platform to life and help people in this crisis, we are looking for the right team who can build it. We are just the “coordinators” here and want to activate people on a voluntary basis - we don’t make and profit.
If you can cover one of the following roles, let us know.

Team Setup

  • Product owner → Responsible for translating the product vision into a roadmap; coordinated the team and manages the project plan. Serves as liaison to the steering committee.
  • Fullstack developer or a Low/No Code developer (preferred)
  • Marketing and user acquisition (2 people) → Executes marketing activities according to marketing strategy, reaches out to organizations. Fluent in either - - German or Polish or Hungarian - or other country receiving an influx of UKR refugees
