Hey everyone, I am building a product, I currently started to build django restframework APIs and now I am thinking that should I build the frontend on django framework? everything to be together or should I do it separately react js (frontend)? the product will be a mini journey with multiple steps.
What will be easy? to keep everything in django and write the html files with css for the frontend?
Thank you
Pick the path that will be easiest for you (least friction).
Some factors to consider:
Don't overthink it! Good luck!
thank you a lot, this was very useful.
How big is your project? How much interactivity will it have? How experienced are you in ReactJS and NextJS? Knowing these answers will help you decide. With my experience, I always lean towards react
Not very familiar with ReactJs, more familiar with Django. The project is not that big, couple of pages in the journey (2-3 pages).
If it’s just 2–3 pages, then Django is probably fine, especially if they aren’t very interactive.
yes, using Django you can store everything in session (not best solution to use sessions anymore) but thinking that if I want to add more features later, probably will struggle if the product is built on django.
Django + bootstrap for the templates to make it look very good and this will work for the product that I am trying to build.
