Helping out my community during the COVID-19 crisis

A group of 10 volunteers and I built and marketed A2Helps. We collect donations, then provide those donations to local healthcare professionals on the front line of the COVID-19 battle in the form of gift cards to local restaurants, stores, and bars. The idea is that we can reward those who are putting themselves at risk to save others while also supporting the local businesses we really love. We've raised over $130k for this purpose and are partnering with the local hospitals to distribute gift cards.

I've set aside my work on Brooklet to work on this project. I think its worthwhile to help my community right now. I'm really proud of it and wanted to share it with my other community here on Indie Hackers. Maybe it will inspire some of you. Thanks for listening!
