Here’s how my side project made $3,500 from $300 in 5 months [All from SEO]

I promise to keep this as short as possible. Let’s start right away.

Here’s how I did it (and you can as well).

  1. I bought an expired domain from GoDaddy Auctions ($50).

About the domain: The domain wasn’t a ‘great’ one, but it had some good contextual links and a history of traffic. It was also ranked for its brand term, which was a good sign.

I can say that I got lucky as you don’t get expired domains that cheap anymore- never give up though ;)

How to search for such domains?
Easy. Go to expireddomains. net and navigate to GD Auctions WB. Select the filters of your choice and find a domain that suits your needs!

  1. Started doing keyword research.
I already knew the niche I wanted to step into. I started KW Research and found some great low competition keywords.

  2. Ordered content (a lot of it)
I ordered a lot of content. It was about 200K words. I also ordered Surfer Optimisation for all of them.

  3. Started building links
I didn’t go too hard on it. I built around 3-4 links a month. I bought another expired domain later (month 3) and 301’d it to the main domain to get results fast.

This was all.

After the 301, my site immediately picked up the pace, and I started making about $150/mo from the site.

I could’ve waited for the earnings and traffic to grow, but ended up flipping the site for $3,600 for various reasons.

I’ll be attaching the graph along with the post. Feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments!

Thank you for sharing. Where did your order the content?

      You're welcome!

I own a content agency so had my writers write everything for me :)

Where did you order the content from or did you write all the content yourself?
