Hey IH,
We became the #3 product of the day on our first-ever launch on Product Hunt.
To give a gist, Wylo is a highly customizable community platform for brands and creators to run forums, host events, sell digital products, chat with members, send newsletters, organize resources, and do more - all in one place in your branding at ease, just as you want.
With Wylo, you can choose the features you want and kickstart your community. And the best part - you only have to pay for what you choose.

Now let us tell you how we made it to the top 3 while busting some myths (at least that’s what we think) along the way! 👀 Hope that this long post helps you in some way!
So here you go:
Share your support and valuable feedback for fellow launches and builders. That’s how you’d earn their trust and support for yours. After all, Product Hunt is a community in itself.
Connect with as many people as you can wrt Product Hunt on LinkedIn. This is time-consuming but probably your prime distribution channel on the day of your launch.
Your first four hours of the launch are the most critical. So do make sure that you land at the top post 4 hours! It can make or break your launch.
Your distribution across channels including WhatsApp groups, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms needs to be spot on. Figure all of them out at least a week ago.
The Teaser or Coming Soon page is great! But not a must though. So is your product teaser.
The reach of your product slightly depends on the audience you cater to and the use cases your product provides. The bigger your audience and the more related to Product Hunt members, you might just have a slight upper hand. This is a theory we have heard/felt but not proven.
Let your creatives do the talking. A GIF is better than a still image for your logo. A captivating set of gallery images is likely to get you more attention than otherwise.
The golden question -what’s the best day to launch?
Want to reach more audience? Go for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Want to make it to a top spot in a comparably easy way? Go for Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Aiming for a top spot for the week? Go for Mondays as that’s when Product Hunt’s official week starts every time. (at least that’s what we heard 😬)
And here’s the catch - none of the above is proven per se.
Do products that launch for the second time or more have any advantage? In short, yes. But again, they don’t guarantee a win.
Do hunters matter? Depends on whom you are going with. If they are active on Product Hunt and on socials and will help you, just go with them.
Last but not the least. How many days do you need to prepare for the launch? On a rush? Maybe, a fortnight. Want to do a stellar launch? Maybe, two months in advance. And we did it in about a month.
And that’s enough pointers and busting some myths. Hope you found it useful.
