Hey everyone! We're launching a new service, could you give us some feedback on our pre-launch landing page?

Hey everyone!

I and some friends are creating a new "Design as a service" company, we are currently setting up all behind the scenes stuff and we created an early landing-page that you can see here: https://digipack.io/

We're looking to re-model our design capacity into the "

    The Landing page looks great!

However you can't expect people to click on an ad and subscribe to a 899€/month service just like that 😅

You will probably need a longer funnel. Try to get their email address with a free trial or something like that!

Hm, you may have pointed out the biggest issue, we're collecting emails just to make an announcement later for when it releases :)

We're currently dealing with all the background stuff and will launch in 1-2 weeks, thanks for your feedback I updated the text to more clearly point out that we haven't launched yet :)

    Hey Emil,
The site looks very aesthetic! Although, I have to agree with previous comments. If you offer a discount, the original price should be mentioned, otherwise i'd remove the discount all together. Secondly, find your niche (if you have a nice, make it known!).

    Cheers,
    Jordi

      Hey Jordi!

I published the price & a quick FAQ section, when we first built this we still hadn't decided a price as we were discussing what we can do with our designers, now we've hammered down that people can achieve and what kind of salaries we need to pay we've come to the starting price point of 899€/month which will give people access to our very talented designers, one task at a time & unlimited revisions :)

As we know this will be quite a hefty price for some, so we've also opted for a 14 day refund period in case someone is unhappy, we're also planning on having a limited amount of customer slots so that we can ensure that we can deliver high-quality designs.

Regarding niches, we're targeting Funded startups who can't afford to hire a fulltime in-house designer but still need it, Marketers & Tech heavy teams who may lack visual designers, one of our potential early clients is a successful freelance designer who plans to use our service to expand his work bandwidth :)

This looks really nice - I love the aesthetic! A couple of minor points in the copy that caught my eye:

    • typo in the 'Unlimited designs Really?' section: 'unlimtied' -> 'unlimited'
    • I'd also change the title of that section, and make it 'Unlimited designs - really?'
    • that same section could really do with breaking up into a couple of sentences, it feels a bit rushed and breathless as a single giant sentence

Sorry, I used to write and edit a lot, so I end up homing in on the fine details :)

The '[email protected]' near the end - I'd make that a mailto: link if you can, it can simplify the steps to writing an email, no need to copy and paste. I'd also include examples of your work whenever you can, as to my mind 899€ is a lot to hand over without being able to see examples.

    1. 2

      Thanks a lot!

I did the changes you suggested, really glad that you took the time to look at the fine details :)

Just wanted to make it clear the emails we collect are not to sign up for the service, rather sign up for our email announcement for when we release :)

    I agree with everyone's points.

Since this is new I would include a bit more information - Add tabs to the Top right side of your landing page (text) About - Products - Pricing - Sign Up - Contact Us.

In your current page hero container > left div container > I would add more space between Monthly flat fees, & no commitment! and the Email signup. Right now they are to close to each other.

I would choose another color to differentiate the Get Discount button and make it stand out from all the black. Add some kerning between the Get Discount button looks very crowded.

It's a good start. Sounds like an interesting idea.

      Thanks!

Having multiple pages is still too early, we created this one a bit hastily just to try to get some pre-launch marketing going :)

I hope that by next week our final page will be ready, that page will include all the things you mentioned, but just to make things a bit better I added a FAQ section to the bottom & price in the hero :)

Thanks once again for your feedback!

"Design" is a fluffy word. Sure I want unlimited design. I want unlimited anything. But what does it really mean?

Your prospects are seeing your site. They see design. And the site does look very nice too! But they are not seeing what they actually need.

Does anyone go to themselves and think they need unlimited design? No, they likely think the following:

    I need a logo
    I need a splash page
    I need a stock photo
    I need a business card
I need a digital marketing plan

I think you should test some pages specific to some of the actual needs you are looking to serve, and you will find the right niches of where people are willing to convert. These niches will be the appetizer to the entire subscription which you are serving up.

    Hope this helps!

It's visually appealing. But your page lacks concrete information.

You say flat monthly fee, but I don't the fee listed anywhere. 100 € discount for first 100 customers. On what original cost? 100? 250? 1000? 1000000?

Unlimited, really? That seems to good to be true, hence scammy. If I send 1000s of requests, would you be able to deliver?

What's the turnaround time once I make a request? Will you make changes if I provide feedback? What's the turnaround time for that?

Why should I trust you to do good work? What else have you done? I don't see any samples or portfolio.

If I give you my email, what happens next? What's your process?

    1. 1

Second the notion that the 'monthly fee' was expressed, but was not actually noted anywhere. Clicked out immediately when I couldn't find it – felt like a big teaser.

      1. 1

Thanks for pointing that out, adding the price in the hero section (899€ /month)

    2. 1

      I agree!

Also, I think you should niche down on a specific market.

      Who are you targeting?

      -Steve

      1. 1

Hey Steve, we're targeting Funded startups, Marketers & Tech heavy teams who may lack visual designers, one of our potential early clients is a successful freelance designer who plans to use our service to expand his work bandwidth :)

    3. 1

      Thanks!

That's very helpful & I agree, we should have put more information on this landing page, at this moment we're not able to do those changes as we're busy building he "full website" which will include those things :)

      1. 1

So, why do you think building the full website is worth your time. Have you validated your idea already?

        1. 1

          Easy there cowboy.

Yes, we've been running a digital agency for over a year now, plus ran a survey to collect feedback and also there are competitors.

  7. 2

I like the model, this can be something.

  8. 2

I don’t know why but it looks great 👻

  9. 1

Really love the UI (reminds me a bit of Mailchimp). If you ever need to pick my brain over anything related to running this type of business, let me know. I believe in healthy competition :)

    Here's my calendly too: https://calendly.com/robinvanderheyden

The site is clean but I have to share my initial reaction. I thought I landed on a MailChimp landing page.

Nothing wrong with inspiration, but it then hit me that I don't get a sense of your design ability.

Since you're selling design services, I think you have to provide some samples to justify the cost.

If you check out https://designpickle.com/ or https://manypixels.co/ - they both have examples of the work you can expect. Since you've been running an agency for a year or so, take some examples of that work (as much as possible) and show people your results.

The third content section feels like you threw it up pretty quickly. Add some design to it.

Selling this kind of service would be much easier with some proof. Along with your portfolio samples, add some testimonials from customers.

Back to the MailChimp thing, make sure that you give off the impression that you are your own brand.

    1. 1

+1 for https://manypixels.co. My feedback is exactly the same so you can skim over it. But having multiple people saying the same thing is still good data (I think).

      (1) Need an affordable starting point
The starting point for the pricing (899/month) is rather high. I think that agencies might be able to quickly translate that into value but it seems expensive to me. Conversion could probably be higher if you had a restricted "Starter" plan that gives a feel for the service. Another alternative is to make the 1st design free to give an appetizer but the risk is that you end up doing a lot of work that you won't get paid for.

      (2) Show your work
Your website looks clean but it's missing samples of work. I wouldn't care as much if the cost were low but if I'm going to give you 900 bucks I need proof that you'll do good work. Think about the same process as hiring a designer.

      (3) Illustrate the process
I think you can make the "unlimited designs, really?" a diagram that shows the process and the turnaround time. I did not read the block of text at first but it contains all the details I was looking for.

Good luck! And don't forget to search IH for ManyPixels as you'll find good articles and feedback from the community.
