Hey Guys, I Launched our travel blog today.

Hi Malith! Congratulations on launching your travel blog. I've also got one (https://notanomadblog.com) and I find it super rewarding to look back on those memories years later.

I guess my question to you is if you are planning to monetize your blog? One trend that happens commonly with travel bloggers is they start with story-like narratives and then later realize they need to write for SEO in order to make money from it.

Otherwise, the layout is quite clean and your About page has a nice personal touch. For some reason your Contact page's button text doesn't show up for me, maybe you want to check on that :)

Hey cool blog! I really like the pictures, they are top notch.

Just had a few more tidbits to add. Is this a customized Wordpress theme? Or did you make it? Here a few observations I saw

• I like the mountain background image. Unfortunately, the image makes it harder to see the white text over it. I would add a text-shadow to the Roads & Rocks title and subtitle and the menu header links. Or change the opacity of the image to see if that helps. The same problem happens with the white text for the dates on each individual blog list on the main page. I would move the dates under the blog titles, or once again add a text-shadow to it.

• This is a super nitpick, but when I got to your travel blog, I know it's a travel blog, but I don't know anything else about you, or where you're going, or what your travel blog is about (at least by looking at the front page). Maybe instead of just repeating the title of the blog in the main header (the logo says the same thing), try to put something interesting in. "300+ days of travel around the world" or "travel around Europe and Asia by backpack". Also that logo could use a bit of work, but probably fine for now. I would remove the text from the logo for SEO purposes and have that laid out in HTML/CSS.

• There is too much text on each line in your blog posts. Im counting upwords 125 characters per line. Go look at medium.com and you can see they hover around 70-80. They also have a bigger font size. I would play around with trying to show less characters per line. Adjust line height, font-size and width. I think 70-80 characters per line is optimal and it will make it much easier for your readers to read your blogs.

• This is another nitpick, but each subheader on each blog sort of melds into the blog post. I would make those subheadings "What to do in the city", "Good views of Barcelona" much more clear. Make the fontsize a bit bigger, add more margin at the top and bottom. Things like that.

• Your email opt-in at the end of each blog post, is not very enticing. If you want people to actually to click and enter their email in you'll need to convince them. Offer a free travel guide, or give them some sort of benefit rather then "get new posts by email". Of course this sounds like just a fun little travel blog, so maybe that's not important to you right now.
