Hey IH, I'm building a portfolio for my freelancer website and will build the first 5 at a loss.

Hey IH,

So like the title says, I'm offering the first 5 ppl to build native mobile apps as well as progressive web apps. My goal is to build up a portfolio and then get to selling.

Most of the local agencies here in West Coast North America charge 5 digit figures. In my opinion, it doesn't need to cost that high when I don't carry much overhead other than paying local devs, I don't use overseas developers. We are all from Vancouver, BC, Canada so we are in the same time zone as SV.

I will be building the first 5 apps at a loss but hope it translates into some solid testimonials which will help out a lot. As for being able to bring down costs, the app needs to be fairly generic in that it can't be a video game, or some new category.

Please get in touch with me in my profile.

Cheers,

John.

    Hey John --
I hope you are well. This is very kind of you to be willing to do this.

    My experience:

    • The IH audience is almost exclusively developers.
      • They may not need your skills
      • They may be skeptical of the final product
    • You are completely open ended on timeline and scope of product. This reminds me of the first, and last time, I did a flat-fee job. You may find yourself with someone with lofty expectations that you won't be able to meet. This may result in a lot of work without getting that 5-Star testimonial you are seek.

    My suggestions:

    Hope you find your clients!
Way to go on jumping into the deep end!

    Hello Brilliant Code Inc. ,

I have few suggestions - don't code in cheap, you can prove your worth in many ways!

    • If you are freelancer your website should be awesome landing page with all the information.

    • You should start getting order from Marketplace site like "Upwork, UserCV.com, Fiverr, PPH" and others.

-- Instead of working for FREE for some one, get some IDEA, build a product for self and show other clients, what you can do!
