Hey IH — I'm building Pawzfolio and wanted to share where things stand, what I've learned, and where I'm stuck.

The problem I'm solving

Every time a pet owner leaves their pet with a sitter — whether it's a professional, a friend, or a family member — they end up sending a wall of texts with feeding schedules, vet numbers, medication instructions, and behavioral notes. Half of it gets buried in the thread. The sitter forgets something. The owner spends the whole trip anxious.

There's no purpose-built tool for this. People use Google Docs, sticky notes, or just hope the sitter remembers.

What I built

Pawzfolio lets you create a structured digital care guide for your pet and share it as a single link. Your sitter opens it on their phone — no app download, no account needed. They can tap to call the vet, see the medication schedule, check the feeding routine. It's designed for speed when things go wrong.

The business model is freemium. Free tier lets you build the guide but you need Basic ($4.99/month) to share it. Premium ($9.99/month) adds document storage for vaccine records and automated expiry reminders.

Where I am right now

  • MVP is built (Angular 19+ PrimeNG)

  • Authentication and the guide builder wizard are functional

  • Landing page is live with a waitlist: https://www.pawzfolio.com/

  • Currently working on the mobile sitter view and the share link flow

  • Not yet in beta — targeting a closed beta with 20–50 users in the next few weeks

What I've learned so far

The biggest insight has been that the emotional trigger isn't convenience — it's anxiety. People don't want a "pet info organizer." They want to stop worrying that their sitter missed something important. That reframe changed how I write about the product.

I also learned that the sitter experience matters just as much as the owner experience. If the sitter can't find the vet number in under 5 seconds on their phone, the whole thing fails. So I'm obsessing over the mobile view.

Where I'm stuck / what I'd love input on

  • How did you get your first 20–50 beta users for a B2C product? I'm active on Reddit and X but curious what worked for others.

  • Any advice on pricing a freemium product where the free tier needs to be useful enough to hook people but limited enough to convert?

Would love any feedback, tough love included. Happy to answer questions about the build, the market, or the tech stack.
