Hey IH, what's the biggest problem you face with running your SaaS? How often does it come up and how do you solve it currently?

I think the hardest part is marketing and getting good feedback from users.

So true! How do you get feedback from users?

      1. 1

Feedback is a natural consequence of usage.

The more your users use your product, the more feedback will come your way.

        1. 1

True but how do you validste idea and get feedback even before first lines of code?

          1. 2

Oh, you can post on forums and subreddits asking if what you're intending to build has any value or solves any problems whatsoever.

It's still educated guesswork at best (you never really know if you're solving a real monetizable problem until the money is in your bank account), but that's really where your acumen and experience, if any, come in.

Very true. Which aspect of marketing do you find the hardest?

  2. 3

Sustainable marketing channels. Man, if we all could just turn on Google ads and have positive ROI so we could go back to building product that would be awesome.

Two main problems, time to work on it and finding paying customers. Time is about sacrifice and customers is about crating connections, networking, and marketing.

If your product is new, it's hard to improve it because of a lack of user data.

I'd recommend using something like Hotjar/Fullstory (depending on your financial capabilities), and really utilizing those recordings. Improve your product and marketing site constantly based on them.

If I'm being completely honest, constant pressure from competitors in a cut-throat niche.

I am currently struggling to withdraw money from my company. I am from Brazil, and I created my company using Stripe Atlas, so it is based in Delaware, US.

My main doubts are related to taxes (how my company can handle, and myself here in Brazil).

I have a bookkeeper helping me out, but they are also figuring out how to handle this situation (US company x Brazilian founder).

I think the problem of most is getting paying costumers... At least it is for the wbe members. Besides that I guess try to keep it low cost

To be honest: the biggest problem while developing era.sh (a markdown note-taking tool for developers) is the available time.

As we bootstrap it, we have our main jobs and the available time is critical. What we can do to have more time, beside giving up all private life? It's a good question, I don't have an answer.

    1. 1

So, what have you tried to solve that? Anything you've tried that ended up not working?

"or whoever else you promised yourself you'd be" remove that line. Focus on a nice.
