Hey Indie Hackers - I am Gaurav 👋Over the last months, I kept seeing the same comment loop on social platforms:“Link?”

So I built ClipCart - an app that turns short videos into a shopping cart.

What it does - You paste a public link from:

  • YouTube Shorts

  • Instagram Reels

  • Facebook videos

  • Snapchat Spotlight

  • (or upload an image/video)

Then ClipCart:

  • scans key frames,

  • identifies likely products,

  • returns product details + shopping links across stores + deals and much more,

  • and lets you save favourites.

The goal is simple: convert “link please” moments into a cart - fast.

Why it’s different

  • Most shopping is platform-locked. ClipCart is cross-platform.

  • It’s built for creators + shoppers who want product discovery without hunting for keywords.

âś… Android is live

🍏 iOS is coming soon (mid-January)

🌍 I’m also building it to support multiple countries, not just India.

What I need help with (honest ask)

If you’re willing, I’d love feedback on:

  • False positives (when the AI picks the wrong product)

  • Multi-product scenes (what should be “primary” vs “ignore”)

What would make you trust the results enough to actually buy?

If this sounds interesting, I’ll share learnings on:

  • AI product detection + dedupe

  • cost control tricks

  • app launch + growth experiments

App / site: ClipCart (clipcart.io)

Would love your brutally honest feedback 🙏

Really great to see how you’re thinking deeply about feedback loops. Simplifying the first user experience often makes feedback more actionable and improves early adoption.
