But I don't get why I would want to publicly share my private bookmarks? I have more than 1K bookmarks stacking since 2016. I don't even look back to them.
I know digg was a thing but are we still there? Is there a use case or need that I'm missing.
Here are a couple of them,
I see but sorry, I can't find a reason for me to go through that struggle, there is no benefit for me to share my links. It's not like twitter or something that I can build a following to leverage it later. Maybe I'm just selfish IDK but I'd rather go through my bookmarks and convert it to content for myself. It would be more useful for me.
It sounds too broad to follow other's bookmarks. I thought that niching it down potentially makes it interesting. But thinking about my github feed. It's all development related so it's niche and starring a repo is basically bookmarking on the platform. When I look through my feed I don't find anything useful, someone stars on a language I'm not interested, someone stars something that out of topic.
You mentioned browser bookmarks in a separate comment yet I'm keeping them in an app called raindrop. Once in a 3 months or so I dump my browser bookmarks to there. Again rarely look back at it, use its search function to find an article that I couldn't find through browser history.
Lastly; "option to keep your bookmarks as private or as public" I keep them private already and I can share them publicly to start a discussion. Hope you'll look and find for another selling points. Good luck.

No, I won't buy. You have to sell it to me. Tell me why I should buy, don't just describe what it is. I'll buy if you solve my bookmark problem. Something like "Never search for a bookmark again". You get the idea. Get creative with it.

From the problem statement, I'm guessing you're just like me. I do create bookmarks in my browser and whenever I wanted to recollect a website, I tend to rely on Google. This is because we just forget the mapping between a website name/title with its contents. So, tell Aquila "bits of your memory" and it will show you the website. Ah.., also, Google search might fail, if the website you're looking for is an unpopular one.
