First of all Merry Christmas everyone.
Many hackers talk about the importance of marketing and distribution channels. Let's skip the product and start from the end. Just for brainstorming.
If you had the email information of thousands of small businesses,
what would you do with it? Can you turn this information into money?
Which products do you think you can easily sell to these companies?
Is it possible to earn money entirely through marketing without any product at the beginning?
Or is marketing and product a balance?
Thanks in advance...
It all depends on your relationship with those people that you have on the list.
If you're continuously sending them valuable content and have developed a rapport with them, you have a good chance of turning that into sales.
You can assess this by looking open and click rates of the emails that you are sending to your list.
But if you've not engaged with the list and the list is scraped from the internet or bought somewhere, just trying to sell them something is probably not going to work well.
What you want to do in that case, is to try to identify the individuals you have on your list and make sure that you are providing some value specifically to them. You might want to break up the list into smaller segments in order to improve the performance (measured by all forms of engagement with your emails)
