Hey everyone π
I am exploring a SaaS idea for a collaborative email platform targeted at small companies with a number of email addresses.
I've been brainstorming features I would like to have by looking at other products and would love some feedback from people who manage multiple emails or maybe use a shared inbox already (or anyone else!).
It will provide a way to let members of a team have access to the same inboxes, edit them together in real time (like google docs), delegate emails to certain people, store frequently used templates and view an inbox as Kanban boards (like Zenhub for Github) so they are more task oriented i.e "New customers", "Open conversations", "Closed".
I have a few ideas for potential extensions of the product if it works out such as automation for common tasks and analytics but thought I'd get some validation of the idea first.
If you have any ideas for certain features you would picture yourself using or if you think it's a bad idea i'd love to hear from you!
Thanks in advance π
I'm curious about the use case you have in mind. I've seen ZenDesk or Jira Service Desk used in a similar manner to what you're describing. So that should be validation that you could get people to pay for this if it's done well. In that case, it's usually used to support customers, but multiple people may be helping with the support.
Your description sounds more like something that would be used to collaborate on outreach or something like that. It definitely sounds like it could be useful, but I'm not sure what the target customer is.
Hey @xonev really appreciate the reply,
I agree there's definitely a few competitors out there which seem very popular which like you say is probably a good thing. I assume the best way for me to find features is to talk to some customers using similar products daily and see what they think could be better. I think this approach could help me filter down the customer I want to target this product at.
