I'm a strategist who happens to know how to design and do some coding (have built mobile apps) and know how to use Figma, Protopie and have built landing page tests.
I'm working on a project called Placelist (https://www.placelistapp.com/) - and have both a Figma prototype as well as a half built app using Fuse Open.
Looking for a partner - preferably someone like me who's creative but also knows a bit how to design and code (and if you know Fuse Open all the better).
I have a few other projects I'm working on as well through my lab (a food startup around recipe generation, a fintech concept called "Due").
Thanks!
Do you have an email on your profile?
I'd be happy to chat about this.
Cool man. I checked out Svelte - interesting. I've played around with Vue - but mostly been focused on learning Fuse Open.
Sounds interesting. I haven't done much mobile but have been looking for a good platform to get started on. I'd be interested to hear more about it. Feel free to email (profile link) if you'd like.
Cool man. Yeah I mostly do mobile work. I'll shoot you an email and I can show you what I've done. I originally built a prototype in Meteor but scrapped that and moved to doing more pure mobile.
How is this different than using bookmarks in Google Maps or Foursquare/etc?
Also, assuming you were the one to take the screenshots on the landing page, hi neighbor 👋🏻. I used to go to Battery Harris all the time but they permanently shut down like a year ago 😩
Totally great question. I think when I started it was something that people while they could use Foursquare and Google couldn't easily save and share places - something was missing for them which was discovery.
But it was fun to do as I used it to try out various tools and processes (and even learn Fuse Open).
But can always pivot it into something else - definitely wasn't really trying to turn it into a startup.
Generally just like to hack together stuff - yeah the screenshots were ones I took but also pulled some from the Google Places API.
Yeah I miss a lot of my old haunts - so sad.
