High school student here! Feedback on a product idea

Hey 👋 fellow hackers!

I’m Harsith, an 18 yo dev and tech enthusiast. I’m off to uni this year and I finally wanted to build some of the ideas I’d written down in my notebooks. I need some advice/feedback on one such product I’m planning to build.

FeedbackStack

TL;DR - get feature feedback from users to achieve the perfect product market fit

This would ideally be a link on your landing page that would allow users to:

  1. Include new features they need
  2. If those features, are under dev or under consideration, ‘upvote’ or comment on them

Use cases:

  1. Product developers (Saas, apps, games, even sneaker designers!) almost every maker needs user feedback to build a perfect product. FeedbackStack would be the perfect solution

  2. Dev teams - get feedback on internal tools

  3. Services - marketing agencies, event planners who need to consolidate user requirements

There are few apps that already do this (see Canny, Upvoty) but they don’t provide an opportunity to notify these users once the products are built/contact the users on more details. This would increase user conversion rate. FeedbackStack intends to do this by collecting the users email (and name maybe) once they interact with my features page.

FeedbackStack would potentially integrate with apps like Slack, Jira and other apps (based on customer need, which FeedbackStack would help me find 😁)

I would like to know if this is a product you’d use and if so could you drop your email/contact details in the comments. If this works out I’m planning to setup a temporary website and build and email list and build an MVP in the upcoming months. Any Dev who’s willing to work with me could drop an email to harsith2002@gmail.com (ik I’m a kid, but hey, it doesn’t hurt!)

hey , it sounds like a cool idea, but what I would suggest is to build a landing page explaining your idea and build a wait list. This would allow you to judge the market before you jump all in.

on a side note, I have started a discord server for indehacker teens, we don't have a lot of people on it right now but we would love to have you on there as you develop your product. https://discord.gg/DjaBQPY
