Hire Lawyers?

Hey guys by the end of the year I want to launch my beta website - in a really simple version description of what it is, people can buy and sell videos. My question is should I pay lawyers to write up all the legal stuff you can find on a website, privacy policy, Terms, etc, or should I use some generic one you can find on the internet ? Thanks!

There may be an in-between option, depending on what you are building. Heycounsel.com.

Here's a different way to think about this:

    • What could possibly go wrong if you don't get a lawyer?
    • Can you handle all the risk?
    • Do you actually know the (financial, legal, personal) risks you are taking?
    • What's the worst possible thing happening to you (your company and you personally) if things don't work out how you want them to work out?

Those are the questions that should help you figure out if you need and want a lawyer or not.

(Not a lawyer myself, so this is clearly not legal advice.)
