HIRE someone else to run your business. Any experiences ?
Background - I built a SaaS product. It works and I get some organic traction . I do this as a side hustle though and don’t have a lot of time to give to clients .
While I have a lot of self serve concepts , most customers require an initial bit of selling , training and Installation support . I am considering hiring Someone to do this full time - while I focus on tech more .
Has someone done that before ? Any advice ? My plan is to give half my salary to this person(s) and let them grow the business . Does it work ?
Depends on your Goals. If you are doing this as a side hustle and want to grow this into a full-time things for you, you are the best person at this time to talk to clients not someone else. You could hire someone else to do it if you want to keep this as a side hustle but if you want to grow this into something serious, unfortunately you are the best person to do the selling and training. You know your product the best. It is very difficult to find someone this early on to really care about the product/business and its success.
If you do want to hire someone right now, hire them to do tasks that can save you time bt any client facing work has to be done by you, the founder.
